Pokhara metropolis announces public holiday on Sunday to mark inauguration of int’l airport

Pokhara Metropolitan City Office has announced a public holiday on Sunday to mark the inauguration and operation of Pokhara International Airport (PRIA).
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to inaugurate the airport on Sunday. A rally is scheduled before the inauguration event.
Director of Pokhara International Airport Bikram Gautam said that Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel including top leaders of various political parties, industrialists and tourism professionals will participate in the opening ceremony. Gautam said that there will be 18-hour daily flights to and from Pokhara International Airport beginning February 23.
